Best High-Paying Freelance Gigs of the Week: August 19, 2019

Get that resume and your portfolio ready. Here’s this week’s popping fresh gigs. These freelance writing opportunities pay at least $50 a piece, offer a full-time salary, or pay more than $25 an hour. Each one is labeled as a remote job, virtual job or work-from-home job, which means you can do the work from anywhere.

Also, here are 30+ sites that pay writers for articles and 20 high paying magazines looking for pitches, so be sure to check that out.

Note: I don’t know anything about these positions other than what I post. I weed out the seedy looking ones, but it is your job to be diligent when applying. Also, please don’t message me with questions about the postings. If a link doesn’t work the posting has probably been taken down because the gig has been filled. If you have a gig for freelance writers that pays at least $50 a peice or over $25 an hour, please contact me and I will include your gig in next week’s post.

More information: Sourced from Pitchwhiz- Our purpose in life is to write the stories others overlook, and give voice to the people you don’t often hear from. If you lived the story you want to tell, so much the better.

We can pay up to $200 for a story, maybe even more, depending on the complexity of the topic and how experienced a writer you are. Payment goes out the the same day we receive your invoice.

Poverty, ableism, racism, all kinds of unfairnesses, labour, the environment, the arts, those are the sorts of topics we cover, and Nova Scotia is our geographic focus.

You don’t have to be an experienced writer. We will help you, and you’ll find doing journalism is a lot of fun, and really not as hard as it is cracked up to be.

If this isn’t for you, maybe you know somebody who might be interested. Let them know.

Send us a line with what you want to write about, and we’ll get back to you. The email is rdevet@gmail.com.
